Bought it primarily for WoW, and I am extremely satisfied. All the games I've tried so far run fine at higher details without any complicated setup. I play more from the mains, outside the house I played for about two hours on 30W and the battery still had enough juice (even with the default value of 80%, because I forgot to turn off battery care before). The console works great, but there are still some major drawbacks. In the console you have 3 main pre-installed programs, the first and most important is Armoury crate, where you can update firmware, bios, video card drivers to adjust game controls and performance, also calibrate triggers and joysticks, but here there was a problem, after calibrating the right joystick the left joystick stopped working, there was some software bug so the right joystick calibration needed to be reset, this should have been fixed by now, but thanks to this I replaced the console with a new one before I found out about this bug which can be fixed so easily. Another program is Myasus which is aimed at further updating the console and device diagnostics and AMD Software to update the graphics card drivers and optomalize the graphics directly for the game. Just like Nvidia has with Geforce Experience. The biggest disadvantage I see compared to the competing Steam Deck is the speed of the initial setup of the console and the simplicity, after you take it out of the box, at the beginning you have hours of system preparation and downloading windows updates but of course you have to count on that, after that I was just surprised by how well the console works for gaming and how good the performance is, and the fact that the console has a worse battery life doesn't bother me that much because I charge it more when I play anyway, the joysticks could be a bit better quality and stiffer but I can play them without any problems. Maybe the console doesn't have as good ergonomics as Steam Deck or an optimized system for handheld, But its performance, compact design and Windows OS was the main reason for me to get Rog Ally. Windows Rog Ally will get more expensive but at the same time its biggest advantage is you can use the Dock to connect the console to a monitor, plug in a mouse and keyboard, and use it as your main computer and for work, and if you're going somewhere you can play on the go.
Performance - the console has enough power for all demanding games, there is always an option to adjust the console to make the game run smoothly and looks graphically good. I've never had a problem with the power not being enough
Display - 120hz FullHD, has nice colors, but OLED could be here
Charging speed - the console supports fast 65w charging
Quality - the console looks solid and is very nicely designed
Command Center - where you can quickly adjust your console's performance, resolution or refresh rate easily and quickly while gaming.

What can I say other than I fell in love with Ally. A great device that just needs more power to be perfect, which unfortunately no handheld console offers. All the reviews that skewered Windows 11 at Ally are no longer relevant today. Everything is working as it should, and I'm very glad that Ally has Windows 11, because it makes it not only a gaming console, but also a device on which I can do everything I can do on a classic PC when I connect the keyboard. As for the weaknesses and ROG Ally with Z1 Extreme chip, it has no major problems. I'd definitely appreciate what the new version of the ROG Ally already offers, and that's better cooling, definitely better battery life, and one extra USB-C port. Really, these are things I would appreciate on this device as well. Anyway, the upgrade doesn't make sense for now, because it is still the same processor, even in the case of a new device. And realistically, for the price of 12,000 that this device can be had in the Z1 Extreme version, it's an unbeatable handheld. And even though I've owned a Steam Deck, just the LCD version, it's the best handheld I could ever buy. We'll see in maybe 5 or 10 years what either Steam or other competitors or Ally itself will bring us. For me, I recommend this device with all ten, and what was true a few months ago, as we could see in certain reviews of this device, is no longer true today. All those bugs and imperfections that were software have been fixed. ROG Ally is the top for me. I recommend it!

The device as such is nice, but for the price, the performance is not much. You can really only play older games + arcade games at 120fps. The device has very little RAM, they only solved this in the newer version of Ally X, but the price/performance ratio is even worse. A completely useless device for me personally, and if you' re looking for something to play with, get a gaming laptop or a console, you' ll be happier. Personally, I mostly use the device at home to stream games via PC via Sunshine/Moonlight, where thanks to a strong router there is zero latency and I can play AAA games in full detail at 120fps on the couch/in bed. If the device cost CZK 10,000, it would be a different matter.
