I use as a soundbar instead of the integrated Conexant in HP laptop resp. Realtek in the dock - so still with external amp and racks. The difference between the DragonFly Black (Sabre ES9010) and the integrated sound drivers in the newer HP products is not brutal and I believe a lot of people will shrug their shoulders that what the heck? But there is a difference. You don't even have to pay for Tidal HiFi Plus (with Master Quality Audio format, which this DragonFly should natively understand). Play the duet "Somethin' Stupid (2008 Remastered)" by "Frank Sinatra with Nancy Sinatra" from YouTube Music. When they sing at the same time, DragonFly renders both voices so that they are easily distinguishable. With the integrated sound system, they kind of blend together and it's not as nice, but the difference really isn't as big as I would have expected.
