In a well-ventilated cabinet with front-to-back flow, that air will pass nicely through those fins. The only problem can occur if you have an SSD under the graphics card. For this situation, I had to modify the radiator a bit, and 3 fins to file it down to get it in. I have reduced the efficiency of the cooler, but it still keeps the SSD at perfectly acceptable temperatures.
