There is no other way to control the light than via the remote control. Some people write that the remote is bad, so far I haven't confirmed. I bought the device as such a proof of concept, because the lamp behind the monitor somehow annoyed me and took up unnecessary space. The concept of the rotary knob on the table is bombastic, the sensation when turning the control is without any hitches and smooth. The light as such shines enough for all necessary work at the desk with a computer, without any glare or shining into the face. It fits perfectly even on monitors with thin bezels. BUT! After about a month of use, the light stopped responding to the remote control, it was necessary to switch the light on several times and repeatedly via the remote control on the table before the light finally caught on and turned on. After a while it was necessary to pair both devices again, but even after pairing the controller and the light again, the light still ignores what is happening on the controller. In some cases it seems, at least according to the behaviour of the controller, that the controller does not see the light. This aspect makes me a bit excited, but there is also the possibility that the monitor cannot charge both the computer and the light. This will have to be tested again when I buy a longer USB cable.
