By far the best crafted humidifier I have purchased in the last fifteen years. Few have a uv lamp, anyone who humidifies all winter will appreciate that. After a few days, the base isn't so slick with new life. Few have an ionizer, which is an excellent mold prevention and a huge plus with a humidifier. The tank opening is small, yes, but it's also the largest I've ever seen and had in a humidifier. I haven't had an external temperature sensor yet, the others have it somewhere on the body and always mate to it, this way there is at least a small chance that it can be arranged behind the body of the device so that it will work, unlike the integrated ones. However, it does indeed measure a temperature two degrees lower and humidity almost twenty percent higher than the other sensor in the middle of the room. But on the other hand, I didn't really have an instrument that measured any significantly more accurately. He's quiet! Quieter than any I've had before. Another review says it's noisier after the hot steam is turned on. I can' t confirm that. If that's the case, not for the first ten minutes. I prefer cold steam and lower consumption, so I won't even test it more. Bottom line, I think the price is adequate for the design, but mainly for the features. Can you tell a major difference from the competition at 2k? Significant, yes, but not essential. It looks like it could last even longer than the competitive three years. Would I buy again? Yes, I wouldn't change my mind.
