In the week before Christmas I ordered a coffee machine on Alza.cz with a discount (no. orders 577193234). The order was confirmed, paid for, I have a receipt and confirmation, and according to the information from Alza, the goods should have been delivered to AlzaBox on 21 December. Since then, however, I have received an email every day that the delivery would not be until the next day - over and over again, always with the reason that the box was full. We even offered by phone to pick up the coffee machine directly at the branch, but Alza refused, saying that they would only deliver to the box. Due to repeated assurances of timely delivery, we did not look for a replacement gift. We put an envelope under the tree with a confirmation of the purchase of the coffee machine - but after Christmas Alza unilaterally cancelled the order. The email also gave a different reason, this time that the goods supposedly would not fit in the box. Alza announced a refund and a "compensation" of 100 CZK and finally recommended us to order the coffee machine again - of course without the promotion, at full price. From my point of view it was not a problem with the warehouse or the box, but a very unserious behaviour: the goods were presented at a good price, the order was accepted and paid for, but cancelled after the holidays and a new purchase was offered at a higher price. Christmas present wasn't about that at all. In my experience, you definitely can't rely on Alza in times of promotions and discounts."
