I bought this light because I needed a battery operated light that I could remotely control and set up automation. The light shines very nicely and the addition to the Apple home among other Philips lights went without a problem. The problem occurred during use, when my light always once a day disconnected from the Philips bridge and stopped communicating and it was fully charged. It was only possible to reconnect after physically switching on the light. So this light stopped making sense to me and I returned it.

It's a really nice decorative lamp with nice colour changing lighting and via the HUE app you can select a range of changing colours etc. The design is also very good. With the button on the device you can even without the app to set the color of the lighting so the mobile phone is not needed. The second pairing with the Hue app is a bit problematic. It is possible, but it takes patience, and it was only on the 8th attempt! Absolutely no connection to Alexa or Google. Many attempts and all to no avail. Neither Alexa nor Google will ever find the device, and the problem is mainly that the lamp runs over bluetooth and not wifi. I tried adding the Hue skill and that option didn't work either. It will definitely be connected via Hue Bridge, which is an additional investment, and unless you are planning to buy more Philips bulbs, which will not stand up to the competition with their prices, it's an unnecessary investment. It's easier to simply reach out to your phone or a button on your device and turn it on manually. Nice lamp - I definitely recommend it.
