I first bought the coffee maker about a year and a half ago for use in the office. In its category, it is well priced and can make a large volume of coffee at once, which tastes decent when the machine is set up correctly. Unfortunately, however, the device suffers from a lot of design flaws that make it impossible for me to recommend it to anyone. The mechanism to prevent coffee dripping when the kettle is removed is more for show. Thus, after brewing the coffee and removing the kettle, it drips onto the hot stove. It is made of lacquered metal, where the lacquer tends to peel off after the first day of use. Further dripping then produces a crust that cannot be wiped off and irreversibly sticks to the device when it is used again. The first time it happened to me, I considered it my fault. Now this happened to me with my second piece of coffee maker again after one day and went immediately to warranty. Another defect is the poor workmanship of the plastic holding the coffee cup, which twists over time or is already slightly bent from the factory. The grinder of the device is metal, according to the manufacturer's description, but the power is transferred to it from the motor via plastic wheels and it is only a matter of time before it wears out and breaks. In the case of my first piece of product, these wheels completely ground down to the point where the grinder stopped working, after a year and a half. This defect was not recognized as claimable under the two-year warranty and the service offered an out-of-warranty repair at a price of CZK 3,500 excluding VAT, which is more than half the price of a new device. The coffee bean hopper has a design flaw where coffee residue or even whole beans get into the double bottom over time, which then prevents it from being removed when cleaning the machine. I am attaching a photo of the instrument at the end of its life and a photo of the varnish on the second piece after one day of use. Despite all the above mentioned shortcomings, unfortunately, there are not many devices in this category (pour-over machines with a grinder, large volume and reasonable price) and so this one will probably find its buyers. To mention something positive, some cloning solutions are better than in cheaper devices (e.g. a flap for the ground coffee opening, which prevents steam from rising into the grinder and clogging it). The first piece of this instrument served faithfully for a year and a half despite its ailments, and so it is a pity that the designers cut corners in several places. If you decide to buy one anyway, pay extra for the version with a metal kettle, which doesn't need to be heated further after the coffee is brewed and keeps the drink warm. Firstly, the heating affects the taste and secondly, there is at least a chance that the cooker will not be ruined after a short use.
