Sometimes the lid is impossible to open, you have to force it down several times (which is brilliant when you want to cook a second batch straight away, you more or less scald yourself before you can ram it shut)
it has trouble reaching 100 and switching off, it always gets to 98, switches off, thinks it's finished boiling, but it hasn't, and repeats this for up to 2 minutes before it finally gets there
it sometimes makes a whistling sound, like a steam train
