Even on the official website there is no up-to-date manual (the last one from 2017 does not take into account the new features).

The RX100 VII offers great photo and video quality in a truly compact body that's ideal for travel and quick shoots. The size of the camera is perfect - small, light and easily portable, which is appreciated by anyone who doesn't want to lug around a lot of gear. Image quality and sharpness are high, and the dynamic range allows you to capture details even in difficult lighting conditions. It handles video with ease, making the RX100 VII a versatile tool for both stills and video. I personally own a number of Sony cameras - A7 III, A6400 and ZV-1 - and I miss something about each one. The RX100 VII is the best possible solution from this lineup for everyday carry, though it does have its flaws. It lacks a grip, which would significantly improve ergonomics, and especially a hot shoe, i.e. a socket for an external microphone. This means that if you want quality sound, you have to use a cage and a wired microphone, which detracts from the compactness. The A7 III is a top-notch camera with fantastic specs, but it's just not practical to carry it around with you all the time. The A6400 is a bit better, but it's still bigger and heavier, unless it's strictly for planned photography. Keep the RX100 VII in your pocket at all times and always have your camera ready. The display only swivels upwards and not sideways like the ZV-1, which limits your options for shooting selfie videos or vlogging, but overall the RX100 VII is an almost ideal companion if you can tolerate these compromises.
