I was very hesitant to buy this soundbar, I didn't have a good feeling at all from the negative reviews users wrote here. But I thought I'd give it a try. I also looked at foreign reviews where users were satisfied with it. I bought it here on Alza as a new piece for a great price of 4.690 CZK. And if, as I read here, the subwoofer interfered with the spoken word and made clacking noises etc, I would return it within 14 days. I immediately searched through the app for the latest update (I found information on a foreign forum that it solved the subwoofer problem). I guess my soundbar was already updated because I couldn't find any update. And I really have no problem with the soundbar and subwoofer. It's not my first soundbar, I had a 2.1 LG for about 5 years and the new TCL is much more powerful in sound and bass power. I am very satisfied. Don't worry about it, you can get one in peace too. I hope my review will help someone in their decision making...

Yes, as many people have written here, the subwoofer is sh*t and spoils the whole impression of the otherwise not bad sound - it tries to play the spoken speech (which it shouldn't at all) and makes a horrible buzzing noise that will disturb you, especially at low volume. They should either release some firmware update and fix it, or pull it from sale, because it's really freaking distracting when one isn't completely deaf. Otherwise, issuing TCL updates or even getting information if there is any = a complete disaster, and automatic updates via the app doesn't work, respectively. the latest updates are not there

Really big disappointment! The sound is absolutely awful, and even a six-year-old cheap Sony 2.1 soundbar trumps this horror. How did it win an EISA award? The base unit plays pretty well, but the SW is really really bad. I'm not happy about it, but I'll have to return it.
