It solved my big problem with the internet in the whole apartment. Wifi router from UPC (120Mbit tariff) can only do 2.4Ghz with low speed (units MBit) and longer range or 5.0Ghz with reasonable speed (tens of Mbit), but poor range (behind the wall it is weak on iP6+, iP5s and sometimes iPad Air and iPad mini retina) and the old iP4s of my daughter can not handle 5Ghz.
After plugging into the hallway socket and setting now 5Ghz net from orig. I can get UPC router to all devices I have here (most from Apple), at frequencies of 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz and with speeds of at least several tens of Mbit even on the old iP4s! It's all with the same SSID as the original, so it's transparent for all devices. But it can be set up in other ways.
