About 10 years ago I bought almost identical cheap USB speakers from genius (unfortunately they don't make that model anymore) and it sounds so incredibly good that you wouldn't believe it. Whereas here, when I put it with my laptop, the sound is actually worse than when I use the built-in speaker that the laptop has on its own. It sounds like someone talking to you through a metal pipe. It's not that it's cheap, it's that it's low power and it's on USB. No, you really can get several classes better sound for this money and with this power. Don't even buy it for your enemy! I'm returning it.
the on of and gain buttons are on the speaker, not on the cable, that's a rarity with these USB speakers nowadays.
Rarely bad sound even in this price range, you can get better.

The first piece was advertised for a non-functioning headphone jack (it was falling out and had to be held by hand). I purchased the Trust speaker because the potentiometer on my previous Creative GigaWorks T20 Series II speaker stopped working after less than 4 years (even after the contact lens was removed).
