I took delivery today, installed it today. The suction cup is not able to stick on a regular dashboard, which is porous. Much cheaper mounts have suction cups better. However, this mount with its long-arm design is more for attaching to the windshield. The arms are actually very long and reach from the windshield to the edge of the dashboard on larger cars just fine. The arms are nicely crafted, no sharp edges, so they can almost lie on the dashboard without the vibrations wearing away the surface over time. The tightening holds in position for now, you can feel the use of quality material when tightening. By lying on the dashboard, there is no load on the suction cup and I hope that finally some holder can carry my iPhone Pro Max without falling under my feet while driving. The suction cup doesn't really belong in HiTech, I could see a realistically lower price point because of this and generally use for heavy mobile devices in bulkier vehicles with a windscreen suction cup.
