Without the app, you can't set your "blowing" mode, because otherwise it runs at top speed. In auto mode it's quiet and just whispers like night mode. You can also see the temperature and humidity in the room in the app. You set the "blowing" speed according to the room dimensions. The app is made for a smart home, so you can control the purifier remotely when you are connected to the internet with your mobile phone. You just have to have wifi at home (but I guess everyone has that already). It is a good idea to vacuum the outer part of the filter once a week. As a bonus, I'll take the dirt indicator. I had an ionic care, that one is quiet but doesn't clean the area as well as this device.

The Xiaomi Smart Purifier 4 Lite does its job extremely well. The air feels noticably cleaner after a couple of minutes of runtime, which effects our daily life very positively. The modes function very well and the app is mostly built very comprehensively. I wish there was a function to schedule the runtimes with different modes (e.g. during the day its on auto, switching to manual at a certain time and back to auto at a certain time), at least i havent worked out how it works. All in all its a very quiet and efficient machine, the filters are fairly priced and only need to be replaced after 300 days (can vary). Also the design fits into any room neatly. The experience with alza was extremely pleasing, after a few hockups with the login/ registration. All the negatives were not enough to minus a star off of my review.
