We have had the camera for about a year and it must be said that it works to our complete satisfaction. The rating is only reduced by the price, which is really big when you buy a solar panel. We have the camera in a place where there is no electricity, the solar panel works perfectly and manages to charge the camera for a whole year without any problems. We caught the problems in January, when it was colder for about 14 days (about -10°C) and the sun did not shine, and the combination of low temperature and lack of sunlight meant that the camera could not be recharged and it had to be disconnected, recharged and then returned to its place. But as soon as the temperature rose above about 5°C and it started to shine a little, the camera started to manage with the solar panel by itself even in February. Stamina affects the settings a lot. At the beginning, we had set the recording for 30 seconds, with the fact that if the sensor does not detect movement repeatedly, the recording will stop. This significantly increases battery life, and the camera lasted about 3 weeks on a battery this summer. After we bought the solar panel, we increased the length of the recording to 40 seconds and turned off the function of stopping the recording without capturing further movement (i. e. the camera will record 40 seconds of every movement, regardless of whether the movement was repeated during those 40 seconds or not). Then in the winter, when there was a problem with recharging, the camera lasted about 5-7 days with this setting. Then it was necessary to recharge it. In the summer, the interval would probably be a bit longer. It should be added that the camera captures some movement on average about 4-5 times a day. This is due to the fact that we have set a higher sensitivity and record everything, including animals, so the camera sometimes captures birds, sometimes a car on the neighboring road, etc. Last important info. With the specified settings and the number of reports, the camera eats approx. 800 - 1000MB of data per month. This can also be influenced by your settings and whether the camera automatically sends the entire recording or just a notification. We have a setting to send a screenshot and then view the records online, if every record was sent automatically, it would be about half as much.
