I've been using it for a year (a year ago one cost 3450 kč! Compare then and now. ) two pieces in NASA, it's fine. If you listen, yeah you can hear a rattling noise when seeking (=seek is searching or copying a large number of files), but it's pretty light and quiet, no more so than in the average modern any other hdd. If you want something you don't even know about, don't buy a hdd, buy a ssd, this is about being realistic and not completely spoiled. I may be 90, but I still remember what a "really loud hard drive" is, and this has nothing to do with it. I definitely recommend it. In addition, the disk is CMR, which means that the data is written there "normally" in a classical linear manner, in addition to other price and capacity attractive pieces with SMR, where individual pieces of data are so called. "overlap" and it's a technological user horror (almost death to NAS).
