Tripods cannot be used without a tripod head.
How to choose a tripod?
Before choosing a tripod, you should consider carefully what you are actually getting it for. The tripod material and construction also mater. Aluminium and titanium tripods are the most common, though you can find wooden tripods as well. In terms of construction, camera tripods include monopods, tripods, or small table tripods. A telescopic stand lets you adjust the height as needed and the maximum or minimum tripod height has an impact on how comfortable your photo sessions are going to be. A tripod can’t be used without a tripod head.
