For me, the disappointment of the year. Samsung isn't moving forward with smartphones, rather I feel like it's stagnating or slightly reversing. It doesn't deserve the price tag it has, because in my opinion it's more of just a "repackaged" S20 or S21. When I directly compare the sound of the speakers from my old Galaxy S9+ with the speakers of the new S22 Ultra, the sound is clearly better on the old S9+. That's quite a stretch for the S22 Ultra, because the S9+ predates it by up to 4 generations! For having a 5000 battery, the S22 Ultra is again only a 1-day smartphone. The battery life is almost identical to my old S9+. Photos haven't moved on and are only marginally better than on the old S9+. The only real improvement in photos I perceive only with a perfect optical zoom. The rendering of details is poor, the photos suffer from unnecessarily strong contrast and sometimes I feel that the objects in the photos are distorted on the sides or strangely stretched.

This phone has replaced the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge that has been in use for X years. My impressions of it are very good. Quality workmanship, fast, doesn't crash, beautiful display, nice camera photos, decent stereo sound from the speakers. I can recommend it for myself. A few people have written here about random connectivity losses. For myself, I can say that after about a month of using the phone, I have not experienced a single loss of connectivity. Everything works perfectly, including the ultrasonic finger reader. If I don't use the phone too much, the battery lasts about 2 days. It's a fact that crap like location, bluetooth, etc. I have it off most of the day and the display brightness at minimum (it's easier to look at). Not to write only pros, I really miss the possibility of adjusting the camera resolution. I don't want photos as big as a "cow", it unnecessarily takes up the capacity of the phone and it is unnecessary extra work to reduce them after taking the photo. There is no option to insert a memory card and there is also no 3.5" jack. If you want it, you have to buy a USB-C > Jack reducer from Samsung. Furthermore, the phone is missing a charger. I understand that manufacturers want to save money, but for an expensive flagship, I would still expect basic accessories. Definitely after the reviews I've read, I don't recommend putting glass on the display, then the finger reader goes bad. I opted for the foil and the reader responds beautifully, no problems.
