Buying this phone was definitely not a misstep. This samsung, with the AI features it introduced this year, is becoming a really great tool and productivity helper. However, I was a bit disappointed at first that the display is flat and not curved as it has been in recent years in all variants of Samsung flagships, it gives me a slightly less "luxurious" impression, on the other hand, it is possible to reach with your finger to the very edge of the display, which is usually impossible with curved displays. What is even more unfortunate for me is that this size (6.2") is not produced with 12GB RAM, so one has to choose whether to prefer a smaller display with lower performance or a larger display with higher performance - I would prefer the smaller size that fits nicely in the pocket, with higher RAM. This is all quite a matter of personal preference and force of habit, however, as a really big minus for me is that it only has 25W charging.

Pros: the phone seems to be of good quality in all respects, time will tell. Minuses: except for one minor one, I haven't found it yet. Some things take some getting used to (e.g. all the buttons on one side), but this is normal with every change. You could be reproached for not having microSD, but who is not enough 256GB, so can data eg. casting it into the cloud somewhere. Or that it doesn't have a headphone jack, but who still uses wired ones these days. Every mobile has a protruding camera and this is solved by the cover. With every phone you can find software minuses, but they are usually never related to hw, e.g. pre-installed ballast that you don't want and never use, and sometimes it may not even be possible to uninstall (I haven't researched all of this with S24 yet). So so far the only minor minus is that it gets slightly hot if it does enough at once and demanding (this became apparent to me when getting the phone working, then it stopped). But I suspect that this will only happen rarely and I won't run into it in normal use. Probably a tax at full power. I have no idea how other phones are doing, so I can only compare with my old S7, which did it at full power too (e.g. along with VR heated up a lot), but otherwise it was cool and a great phone that lasted 8 years and would go on, but they haven't supported it in software for a long time and it's starting to show. So hopefully the new S24 will last that way too and I won't run into any minuses.

I've been using the S23 for a while, so I can compare a bit. I like the flat edges. Some say they cut, but I have to say that I felt the curved transitions of the S23 more. This suits me better. I personally like the camera semaphore on the back, but it's pretty impractical when used on a table. The phone then wobbles and taps on the board. I have no complaints about the camera, it's too much for my very sporadic photography. I can't rate the battery that much yet, but subjectively the phone drains slower than the S23. In conclusion, the phone is great, but if you have the S23, it's a waste. If you come across a good S23 offer, again, it's a waste. It doesn't bring anything extra. AI will also get S23 with the update.

The phone is smooth, the display is better than the S21, brighter, the sound of the speakers is more dynamic. The body of the phone is more robust compared to the S21, but it feels very nice in the hand. Overall, I am happy with my choice of phone.
