These headphones sound amazing. Compared to Bose open ears, it's night and day. I was surprised with the bose ones, but I was absolutely thrilled with these. Bass-wise, these are probably also led by the fact that they should be closer to the ear canal. The OpenDots can pull the sound in at full volume without distortion, which is great. In comparison, the Bose ones, for example, absolutely do not give above 70% of the volume and start to brutally distort. The QOL tweaks here are great and the endurance is second to none. OpenDots do not fall out of the ears and hold well. Overall, OpenDots are great compact chirps that can be used anywhere. They could even be used when mowing the grass, this surprised me quite a bit as I thought the mower would drown them out but it didn't. If you are considering like I was then whether Bose or these OpenDots, I definitely recommend OpenDots.
Awesome sound
QOL gizmos
Battery life
Overall, it feels like a compact, mature product. Not a prototype as some might still think
At the moment, it's probably the number one on the market in all respects.
Maybe just a higher price, but still ok compared to overpriced competition in this category

I got the headphones mainly for running and moving around in the city, but I'm starting to use them at home and in the garden (mostly when listening to podcasts, when I don't want to disturb others and be "on the air" at the same time). I am absolutely thrilled with them, they fit great, I wear them for hours and I don't even know about them. Compared to other open-back headphone designs, they are relatively unobtrusive, and are great to wear and put on. The sound really surprised me a lot, for me they sound great. The controls are nicely responsive, you just (due to the design) won't find as many controls on them. One can only be set to two functions (play/pause and answer/reject calls). The second control changes the volume. But it doesn't limit me in any significant way. These are my first open-back headphones and I have to admit that it's a game changer for me as well. They immediately replaced the great Jabra pips, which are comfortable, sound great and have great noise cancellation. But those moments when I really want to disconnect from the surroundings and just listen undisturbed are very few for me (airplane and other noisy means of transport, which is in my case a few times a year). Other times I find it annoying to be cut off and not know what's going on around me (hear through mode is fine, but the digital ambient sound from headphones isn't great). So I always have my Jabras with me in my backpack, but I don't really use them. Which is certainly changing with these Shokz OpenDots. If you are this type of headphone user, I will definitely recommend them! (FYI - I first ordered the OpenRun Pro 2 Mini with bone conduction, but I returned them - they sounded great, but at the cost of being very noisy for the surroundings, and that's exactly what I didn't want. When I turned on the mode in the app to reduce the additional speakers and increase the bone conduction, they started vibrating again, which was not pleasant for my taste. In addition, they didn't sit well on my ears, I have a small head and despite the mini size, they moved easily when I moved my head, with loose hair tangling in the arch behind my voice: D After 5 minutes of testing, I switched them to OpenDots and I'm really glad I did. )
Comfort - they fit great, I don't even know I have them
Great sound - surprisingly great for open-back headphones
Battery life with case
Response to control
Headphone interchangeability - you don't address the right left
Each handset can also be used separately
Seamless pairing and connection to your smartphone
Overall processing
Despite the open design, at standard volumes it does not disturb the surroundings at all
limited control options directly on the headset - only play/pause, answer/reject calls and change volume
