This Siguro Melbourne kettle is a very nice, simple, plain kettle and it looks good on the kitchen counter. Don't expect any extra features from it, but that's not a bad thing of course, it does its job well. The volume is just right for a standard family of four. The all-stainless interior of the kettle is great and easy to maintain. But what bothers me is that the kettle lacks a volume range, inside the kettle you will only find a mark for the minimum (0.5 l) and maximum volume (1.7 l). The fact that the markings are on the inside of the kettle is confusing, but it's easy to get used to. Not to mention that the minimum volume is half a litre, so if you want to brew a cup of tea you have to boil twice as much water as you need. The kettle is perfectly normal noise and the boil water speed is standard, it can handle a full volume in less than four minutes.

The stainless steel inner casing offers minimum (0.5 l) and maximum (1.7 l) level indicators. Moreover, thanks to the double-walled construction, the kettle remains only slightly warm (not hot) even after boiling water. The dimensions are just right - the kettle is not unnecessarily high and the water filling is not hindered by the dishes in the sink. The top lid can be opened wide to an angle of 87 degrees, with the lid held up independently until closed. On the underside of the lid we find metal dots (Antidrip technology) that prevent water from accumulating and then running off when opened. A nice bonus is the removable dirt filter, hidden heating element, 360° rotatable base, blue switch-on light built into the switch or protection against empty running or the kettle sitting on the base. When the kettle reaches boiling, it switches itself off and there is no sound signal, which I personally prefer. The only negligible minus is perhaps the brown box, which does not create an ideal first impression when giving the kettle.
