Bus width

Die Busbreite gibt an, wie viele Daten vom Grafikspeicher in den Grafikchip (CPU) während eines Takts gelangen. In der Regel beträgt diese 64, 128 oder 192 Bit, bei den leistungsstärkeren Modellen 256/384 Bit. Ein breiterer Bus beschleunigt wesentlich den Zugriff des GPU zu den Daten, genau wie eine höhere Frequenz des Grafikspeichers.

Bus width indicates how much data can get from the memory to the graphics card in a single cycle. It is measured in bits (bit) and typical values are 64 or 128-bit, with more powerful models, then 256 or 384 bit. A higher value indicates higher throughput and higher performance of the card.
