WD Caviar Green 2 TB

The first mass-produced hard disk with a capacity of 2 TB of energy-friendly Caviar Green series. The key to such high capacity is the use of perpendicular entry. Minutes perpendicular technology allows storage of data perpendicular to the plate disk, a data record is so dense and capacity several times higher than the older longitudinal registration . Outstanding performance will further support the 32 MB of memory cache, which is twice the amount compared to standard hard drives. With its low power consumption and noise emitted from the disk is suitable for a multimedia computer, HTPC, home servers, or to use external boxes.

Green Power mark indicates changing technology hard drives, which reduces operating consumption, heat radiation and noise. It ensures efficient function IntelliPower, IntelliPark and Intelliseek. The first of these synchronized rotation of disk platters, baud rate and caching in order to reduce disk consumption and optimum performance.IntelliPark automatically parks the disk heads to reduce drag. Intelliseek calculates the optimal interplay between heads and platters for the best ratio between performance, noise and power consumption. These features save battery life and disk space environment.
