The STRONG 32" SRT32HH5553 TV is a compact smart TV built on the Android TV operating system. It uses a 32" LED panel with HD Ready resolution and Direct LED backlighting, which ensures uniform display. In addition, the screen with a native refresh rate of 50/60Hz processes a signal with a high dynamic range in the HDR10 standard. For access to internet applications and services, both wireless Wi-Fi and a connector for a wired LAN connection are available. Full DVB-T2/C/S2 tuner equipment ensures reception of all types of television broadcasts without the need to purchase an external receiver.

The screen with a screen size of 81cm (32") works with an HD Ready resolution, specifically 1366 × 768 pixels. This resolution is sufficient for the given screen size for watching regular television broadcasts and content from streaming services. The Direct LED backlight technology distributes the diodes over the entire surface behind the panel, thus contributing to a more uniform brightness across the screen. The panel with an 8-bit colour depth achieves a standard brightness of 200 nits and a contrast ratio of 1,200:1, these values correspond to its intended use in smaller rooms such as bedrooms, kitchens or children's rooms.

Sound

The sound component is provided by a pair of speakers with a total music power of 16W. The sound signal is processed with the support of the Dolby Audio format. This technology helps to optimise the sound output so that dialogues are clear and intelligible and that sound effects have the appropriate dynamics. The user also has several preset sound modes available, for example Film, Music or Sport, which adjust the sound characteristics according to the type of content, thus improving the overall listening experience.

Smart features

The Android TV operating system serves as the software platform, with access to the Google Play store. The system interface is clear and easy to navigate, which makes it easy to find your way around and search for content. Android TV ensures compatibility with popular streaming platforms such as YouTube, Netflix, Disney+ or HBO Max, and music services such as Spotify or Deezer. In addition to smart functions, the TV also offers practical extras. These include a hotel mode for limiting the volume or locking the settings. The USB playback function supports a wide range of formats, so you can easily play your own content. The EPG electronic programme guide displays information about programmes several days in advance.

Gaming features

The device is also ready for modern gaming via cloud services. This feature removes the need to own an expensive games console or a powerful computer. The games run on the service provider's remote servers and only the image is streamed to the TV. All the user needs is a stable internet connection and a compatible game controller, which connects to the TV via Bluetooth. This way, it is possible to play graphically demanding titles even on this compact TV.

Connectivity

The TV processes the video signal in HDR10 format, which displays more detail in both dark and light parts of the image and contributes to a more realistic visual experience. With Google Assistant, you can use the microphone in the remote control to give voice commands. Voice commands speed up content searching and replace text entry using a keyboard. It also includes Chromecast and Miracast for wireless content sharing. Chromecast is used to send videos or music from a phone or tablet to the TV screen, while the mobile device remains free. Miracast works as direct mirroring, where a copy of the phone or laptop display is shown on the TV.

The STRONG TV includes a complete set of tuners for all types of broadcasts. The integrated DVB-T2 tuner with H.265/HEVC codec support allows for the reception of terrestrial digital broadcasts. There is also a DVB-C tuner for cable television and a DVB-S2 tuner for satellite reception. For connecting external sources, there are two HDMI connectors and one USB port available. You can connect to the internet via a cable through the LAN port. Sound output is provided by a digital optical port for soundbars and a 3.5mm headphone output. For pay TV, there is a CI+ slot for a decoding module. The TV connects to the home network using Wi-Fi 5. The wireless equipment also includes Bluetooth.

Design, dimensions and mounting

The black television has a simple and functional design with thin bezels around the screen. Stability on a surface is ensured by two separate feet placed on the sides. If you prefer wall mounting, the device is compatible with the VESA standard. The spacing of the mounting holes is 200 × 200mm, this common size offers a wide selection of fixed, tilting and adjustable mounts on the market. The total dimensions of the TV including the stand are 718.4 × 456 × 207.9mm. In the case of wall mounting, i.e. without using the stand, the dimensions are reduced to 718.4 × 420.7 × 70mm. The weight with the stand is only 3.5kg, which makes handling and installation easier.

Energy consumption

In terms of electricity consumption, the television falls into energy class E, both when watching content in standard dynamic range (SDR) and in HDR mode. The typical consumption in both cases reaches a value of 26 kWh per 1,000 hours of operation. In standby mode, when the television is switched off but still ready for a quick start, its energy consumption is less than 0.5W, thus meeting strict European standards and minimising the impact on your electricity bill.
