BRITA Maxtra PRO Pure Performance filters in a package
Advanced filtration with MicroFlow technology reduces limescale, water hardness and the content of heavy metals and substances that negatively affect the taste of water, such as. chlorine. The lifespan of one filter is up to 150 liters of filtered water or 4 weeks of use . The advantage is that the filter can be used with any BRITA kettle, including older ones. Like the BRITA Marella XL kettle itself, the filter body is made of BPA-free plastic. Filtration takes place in a total of four stages: Unfiltered water flows into the filter through the inlet opening, where mechanical impurities are captured on a fine mesh. The water then comes into contact with the filter mixture, where the ion exchanger removes unwanted ions, heavy metals (copper, lead, etc. ), reduces water hardness and reduces limescale formation. Subsequently, activated carbon reduces substances such as chlorine, pesticides and organic impurities that have a negative effect on the taste of tap water. The final stage involves filtration through a very fine sieve at the bottom to remove any microscopic impurities.
