Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Ed. 8K PC
The Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Ed. 8K PC gamepad is used to control game titles on personal computers running the Windows 11 operating system. The gaming device communicates with the computer via a wired connection. The package includes a 2m detachable braided cable with USB-A and USB-C connectors, which ensures stable signal transmission and facilitates easy handling in the gaming space. The design, weighing 198g without the cable, is based on the ergonomic requirements of esports players during long gaming sessions.
Key features of the Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Ed. 8K PC gamepad
- Controller operates at a frequency of 8000Hz
- TMR magnetic sticks prevent unwanted cursor drift
- Controller has a total of 23 buttons, including six customisable elements
- Triggers have an adjustable actuation distance with the option to shorten the travel
- Internal memory stores 4 user setting profiles
Frequency
The device uses HyperPolling technology with a polling rate of 8000Hz for fast data transmission. This value reduces latency and contributes to immediate responses to in-game situations. The controller sends signals to the computer many times faster than standard game controllers. The technology transmits commands to the computer with very low delay and helps in fast-paced action scenes. The connection is made via a USB-C port on the controller side and a USB-A port on the computer side.
TMR magnetic sticks
The analogue sticks use TMR magnetic technology, which suppresses drift and mechanical wear. This technology surpasses conventional Hall effect designs and maintains long-term aiming accuracy. Interchangeable stick caps in the package are used to customise the height for greater accuracy or movement speed according to the user's preference. The package includes a shorter cap for quicker responses and a longer cap for more detailed control over movement.
Programmable buttons
The design includes a total of 23 buttons for comprehensive game control. On the back of the textured grips are 4 programmable buttons with the fast response of microswitches. The top edge carries an additional 2 claw grip bumpers to expand control options during gameplay. This gives users a total of 6 remappable buttons for quick activation of in-game functions without having to let go of the analogue sticks.
Razer Pro HyperTriggers
The trigger buttons, featuring Hall effect technology, have a switchable travel distance via a physical switch. The user can set either a short click with the instant response of a microswitch or a smooth analogue action with a full range of motion. The short press is ideal for shooters requiring an instant shot. The long analogue action is used for precise throttle control in racing games.
Action buttons
The main Mecha-Tactile action buttons combine the speed of microswitches with the cushioned feel of a rubber membrane. The 8-way D-pad provides tactile feedback with every press and makes it easier to perform precise combos in fighting games. This combination of technologies reduces actuation time while maintaining a physical feel to the press. The buttons react to even a light press and help to speed up gaming responses.
Software configuration
Parameter adjustments are made in the Razer Synapse 4 application for Windows 11. The software is used to calibrate analogue stick sensitivity and map buttons to four profiles stored directly in the controller's memory. Users can adjust the behaviour of individual elements according to the specific game. The program requires an internet connection to download and install configurations.
