The earcups of the Meze 99 Classics Walnut headphones are made of high-quality walnut wood, which is strong and durable, but also light and malleable. A CNC machine is used to precisely cut the shells, while finishing work such as polishing, sanding and painting is done by hand. The entire finishing process, including quality control, is extremely thorough and takes a total of 45 days. Since walnut wood has a unique and unrepeatable colour and texture, each headphone is a unique piece that is slightly different from the others.

The Meze 99 Classics Walnut wired headphones are equipped with classic dynamic transducers with a common 4cm dia diaphragm diameter that deliver a natural and warm sound with polished details and a solid bass foundation. The drivers play from 15 to 25,000 Hz and offer a sensitivity of 103 dB, making them suitable for playing music of all genres. Thanks to the closed design and well-sealed earcups, the headphones also isolate ambient noise very well.
