Netgear LAX20
Netgear LAX20
The Netgear LAX WiFi router combines a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router with an integrated Category 6 4G LTE modem, which supports mobile networks as an alternative to a traditional wired internet connection. The device operates on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands with a total transmission speed of up to 1,800Mbps for connecting home devices. The integrated LTE modem provides a backup connection in case of a fixed-line network outage. The quad-core processor handles demanding network traffic for smooth 4K UHD content streaming. Its design, weighing 580g and measuring 29.58 × 5.72 × 20.6cm, fits easily into any space.

Wi-Fi Connectivity and Speed
The wireless network uses the Wi-Fi 6 standard, which offers backward compatibility with older 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards. OFDMA technology divides channels for more efficient data transmission to multiple devices simultaneously without sacrificing speed. The device operates on the 2.4GHz band with speeds up to 600Mbps and on the 5GHz band with speeds up to 1,200Mbps.
Network Security Features
Security protocols protect the network from unauthorised access and external threats. The device downloads firmware updates with security patches without requiring manual user intervention. Security features include WPA3 encryption and 128-bit AES encryption with PSK, as well as VPN support for secure remote access to your home network.
WiFi Router Management and Modes
The quad-core processor coordinates all network processes and maintains stable operation of connected applications, even under heavy load. The Nighthawk mobile app facilitates network setup directly from your mobile phone without complex configuration. With this app, you can also run internet speed tests, monitor connected devices, or manage your home network remotely. The system also supports voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant services.
Connectivity Options
A wired connection for peripheral devices is provided by one Gigabit WAN port and four separate Gigabit LAN ports for fast file transfers. The router also includes one USB 2.0 port for data sharing on the local network. For receiving a 4G LTE mobile signal in the Cat 6 bands, there are two detachable external antennas included directly in the package. These antennas help maintain a stable connection with your chosen operator's mobile network.
