The absolute maximum that makes sense on AM4 today. The Ryzen 9 5900XT is a pure compute CPU and nothing else plays on it. With this processor, I finally closed the AM4 platform and extended its life for a few years without switching to AM5. The only known weakness is the performance per core. In games and in situations where the CPU feeds the GPU, there are better choices. But that's not the reason to buy this processor. The official TDP is 105 W, in real boost it takes 130-140 W+, so a good cooler is a must. With Noctua, the temperatures are around 40-60 °C in normal operation, and around 80 °C in long-term load. No throttling, stable behaviour. Boosts go almost to 5 GHz per core, all-core performance is exactly why this CPU exists. For rendering, video conversion and other multi-core tasks, it's a very powerful processor. It makes no sense for other uses.
