This Zen 3 architecture processor has 16 cores and processes 32 threads simultaneously using SMT technology. The 3.3GHz base clock automatically increases to up to 4.8GHz under load with Precision Boost 2. The memory cascade includes 1024KB of L1, 8MB of L2, and 64MB of L3 cache for fast data access. The unlocked multiplier allows manual overclocking in the AM4 socket. The processor works with X570, B550, A520, X470, and B450 chipsets. The x86-64 instruction set includes AES, AMD-V, AVX, AVX2, and SSSE3 extensions. The maximum operating temperature is 90°C. Connectivity is provided by 4 native USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and 2 native SATA ports. The PCIe 4.0 interface has 24 native lanes, 20 of which remain available for the system to use. Processor cores and threads
Processor cores work, to some extent, like separate processors and can handle computational tasks independently. The more physical cores a processor has, the more tasks it can process simultaneously.
