I upgraded from the Apple Watch 7, which I never had any issues with. I wore the Apple Watch Ultra for 13 days straight, including during sleep (trying out both the Milanese loop and the fabric Trail Loop). Unfortunately, due to the combination of the heavier weight and the protruding sensor on the back, I developed severe wrist pain after a few days, which radiated up to my elbow. At first, I thought I had the strap too tight, but after loosening it and subsequently ordering the fabric one, the wrist/elbow pain didn't get any better. I had to return the watch because of this. For people with more sensitive wrists who want to wear the watch 24 hours a day for its features and tracking data, they are unfortunately not suitable. I'm really sorry I can't use this watch, because apart from this unpleasant problem, it's absolutely brilliant!
Premium build quality, gorgeous design and a great Apple ecosystem (if it suits you).
Excellent compatibility with various types of straps (even the comfortable Trail Loop has been tried and tested).
Hefty weight and large case construction.
The protruding sensor module on the underside (case back) presses into the wrist.
When worn 24/7 (including during sleep), they cause strong mechanical pressure on nerves and tendons (wrist pain radiating up to the elbow).

They're great, but thanks to the disabled AI functions, there's no point upgrading from older models.
Longer battery life than the ULTRA2
the new strap even goes well with a white shirt
all smart functions are disabled in the EU, so it's just new sensors

I was replacing my AWU1, which survived a horrific accident that wasn't my fault, with only slightly scratched titanium, but still fully functional. I was looking at G but I stuck with the AWU4.
