I'm not an everyday gamer, I'm over 30 and work from home as a designer, but I need to have a stable quality connection when I want to play on the PS5 Pro once or a few times a week, with the previous TP-LINK router it was one big tragedy, this choice was probably the best I could have made. I definitely recommend everyone who is trying to detect problems in their network to monitor the network, log it, including ping, latency, speed, and then act accordingly, e.g. switch internet providers. This gaming router will help you do just that. It's definitely not suitable or I wouldn't recommend it for a regular family, there are hardware models of similar quality at the same technical level, such as. Asus TUF-AX6000 model, which is 1:1 with this one, but it is devoid of some things that will be used only by gamers or people who want to have a continuous overview of the network. I have over 22 devices connected to it 24/7 (smart home). Quality handling, and a nice design, although that's a matter of opinion, I didn't like it at first in the pictures either, I've never been a fan of such overstuffed plastic things that are made for like gamers, while for example those antennas could be 6x as small, since there's just a stretched metal wire inside, and everything else is just for effect, but the whole router once you get your hands on it is well made, sturdy, heavy, it's definitely not just an overpriced piece of plastic, the hardware justification is there, and compared to the TUF-AX6000, which also has a 2.0GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of memory, there's a different and better processor manufacturer. I received a piece that has a production caliber of 2024, so even though the router is 2 years old, Asus still has it newly manufactured.
It's great - for people looking for quality it's worth it even in the age of WIFI 7
Continuous network monitoring and logging
Enables Dual WAN (connect two Internet connections from two different providers at the same time)
Enables WAN Aggregation (allows two Internet connections from a single provider to be combined up to 3.5G speeds)
2x 2.5G port
In real life really nice design, robust, quality material, heavy, with good cooling
Good price in the sale
I got a piece made in 2024 according to the batch, which is great because the router went on sale officially in 2022, so Asus is still making it
On paper the same as the Asus TUF-AX6000, however this one has a better processor and a lot more features for gamers and people who want to minimize latency/ping
Extensive administration via browser and many security features that are free (included in the price of the device) unlike TP-LINK, which wants to pay for them monthly
3-year warranty, which is a must for a router, pretty much goes away after a while, but that's to be expected for a device that runs virtually nonstop without stopping
I switched to it from the Asus TUF-AX6000, and if you were hesitating between these two pieces, I would recommend going for this one for sure
I had a total of 3 TP-LINK routers before Asus, and I will never go back to TP-LINK again, TP-LINK is garbage compared to these routers
Perhaps only that it cannot be set to automatically turn off the LED and RGB backlight at specific times, such as e.g. from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next day. I want it to be lit to indicate functionality and data flow, but not overnight.
It doesn't fit in the usual space where you would expect a router to be placed, it's really monstrously big
The mobile app is relatively tragic, some setup and management can be done there, but don't expect to set up your network via mobile after the first launch
Again, this is a rather subjective thing and does not affect the functionality and quality of the product, but Asus could really choose a more modern design of the administration user interface, it looks like graphics from 2004

It's a great piece, a real piece. For me, the ROG series from ASUS never disappoints. I'm a big fan, so you won't get any negative reviews from me, except that the red elements on the antennas could also be RGB. It's the 3rd router from Asus that I have, I got this one because of the drone design according to the product video (trailer) and it's just ROG: -) Price was a barrier, but buying in thirds was the solution.
