Bought as a speaker for work on the house. Until now I used a small BT speaker Sencor where the power was lacking or the old Genius SW-HF 5.1 6000 which I didn't want to keep moving around the rooms during the renovation. The JBL is exactly what I needed, performance about like the Genius but beautifully portable. We'll see how long the dusty environment lasts. The gain wheel responds with a slight delay, and it doesn't always gain the same amount per "degree" of turn, so sometimes you turn it just a little and it's rambajs. Also a light indicating the Bass boost is on after switching off and on mate. The indicator light remembers the status of the Bass boost before switching off and displays it, but this does not mean that the function automatically switches off when the speaker is switched on. It took me a while to get used to the fact that the bass boost needs to be switched on again every time I turn it on. But these are just little flies that you get used to.

So far the deepest bass I've heard goes up to 38hz (deeper than partybox 100 and 110, boombox 3, Harman/kardon go+play 3 and others.
