Compared to the Vivo Y70 I had before, the A55 and I didn't hit it off. Software-wise, the body has a bunch of annoying details, pebbles in the shoe, that complicate the use of the phone. Unlocking is inconvenient, ONE UI is not as glorious as it is rumored to be. If I were a little less lazy, I'd sell the phone and switch back to Vivo.

If I hadn't smashed my display by dropping it on my cat's head and through the case, I wouldn't have run out of A8(2018). After the Galaxy Note II, it was my beloved phone and a yearly fixture. The current premium range doesn't offer memory cards and jack, and the barometer is also only on the highest model. So this was a reasonably priced phone choice, unless I want a device from PRC and the family is used to Samsungs. It's bigger than the A8(2018), but I'm happy. It works nicely with the regular Tab A8 tablet, the bright new display out on the maps is very nice (though not perfect), and I'm learning not to cry over the lack of HW. Garmin heart rate monitor goes via BT and the cycle trainer also. The new phone's battery life of a day and a half is also quite good.
Since the A8(2018), really upgraded HW (photo, reader in the display and not on the back, reasonable internal memory, 5g, display)
Snappy system runtime, Android 14 UI 6.1 has quite a few tweaks (sharing with the environment, sidebars, modes, )
