Compatible smart home platforms
Hardware performance
The network hub contains a dual-core SG2000 ARM processor, complemented by 512MB of LPDDR4 RAM. The system and data are stored on the integrated 8GB eMMC storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card up to 2TB. The hardware configuration ensures the smooth running of several automation tasks simultaneously and provides a stable foundation for demanding integrations.
Wireless connectivity and amplified signal
The device includes a Texas Instruments CC2652P7 radio, which handles the Zigbee and Thread protocols. Wireless network connectivity is provided by an AIC8800 chip with support for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, complemented by a Bluetooth interface. A 5dB external high-gain antenna improves stable signal reception and transmission, extending the wireless network's range and increasing communication stability with end sensors.
Software features
The SMHUB-OS system comes with key home automation management software tools pre-installed from the factory. Users have Zigbee2MQTT, Node-RED, Mosquitto MQTT Broker, VPN WireGuard, and OpenThread tools available. The integrated Matterbridge software allows the unit to act as a bridge between the Zigbee protocol and the Apple Home, Google Home, or Amazon Alexa ecosystems.
Power and network connection
The 100Mb/s Ethernet port provides a physical connection to the local network and supports Power over Ethernet (PoE). A USB-C connector with a 5V supply or an external PoE splitter offers alternative power options. The manufacturer has also ensured compatibility with SMLIGHT UPS backup power supplies to guarantee continuous operation even during a power outage.
