The new Synology RT1900ac is a powerful wireless router designed for home and small offices. The device has a 1GHz  dual-core processor and 256MB DDR3 memory. Despite a number of advanced features, the interface is intuitive and incredibly simple to use. Even ordinary users can handle the settings but for the more advanced, the router can be set up accordingly.

Faster than Lightning

The router is based entirely on Gigabit Ethernet technology, so its chassis contains five Gigabit RJ-45 connectors, one of which serves as a WAN interface. LAN connectors are complemented by a card reader and a USB 3.0 port, which can serve as a print server, share or backup interface for 3G connections. The wireless function is equally fast. With the support of Dual Band, it is possible to realise a wireless transmission speed as fast as wired. With the help of a trio of MIMO antennas with high gain, a theoretical transfer rate above 1Gbps at a 5GHz frequency can be attained.

The RT1900ac router is not only characterised by rapid transfer speeds but also exemplary stability, security and functionality. The device supports VPN tunnels with multiple security options, both as a client and a server. Of course, it has the ability to function as a DHPC server and client, which is especially useful if used as an Access Point.
