High-quality printing and long photo life
The Canon SELPHY QX20 uses a dye-sublimation thermal transfer printing system. The print mechanism works at a resolution of 287×287 DPI with three colour inks in yellow, cyan and magenta. Each colour has 256 shade levels, which corresponds to a 24-bit colour depth. After the three printing passes are complete, a protective coating is applied to the photo. The prints have a lifespan of up to 100 years. Creating a photo takes approximately 40 seconds. This technology is designed for printing vibrant, rich colour images.
Wireless operation and creative possibilities
The printer communicates with compatible iOS and Android devices via the Direct Wi-Fi function. Printing is controlled through the SELPHY Photo Layout app. The app lets you add stamps, filters, borders, text, collages, frames and customisable edges. The SELPHY QX20 supports printing on XS-20L square photo paper measuring 72×85mm, as well as on XC-20L and XC-60L photo paper measuring 54×85mm. Both media types have a self-adhesive back for creative uses. The built-in battery can print up to 20 sheets on a single charge. Charging is handled by the supplied USB Type-C power cable.
- Printers are usually supplied with a starter toner and/or cartridges with an approximate 60% capacity of regular cartridges which are available to purchase separately.
