Restore a devastated landscape
Welcome to the land of Azuma, a mysterious eastern land where tradition mixes with magic and hope is slowly fading. In the new adventure Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Nintendo Switch 2 you take on the role of the so-called. Earth Dancer, a being gifted with the ability to restore a ravaged landscape, its inhabitants and forgotten gods. Grow seasonal farms, rebuild villages and battle disturbed monsters.
In Earth Dancer's skin
After the devastating event called the Heavenly Fall, the land of Azuma disintegrated, parts of the landscape were thrown into the heavens and seas, the life force stopped flowing, and the nature gods disappeared. Vast mountains collapsed, fields withered and the inhabitants were left with nothing but emptiness. In this despair, you come, waking from a strange dream of a dragon fight, with no memories, but with a voice that challenges you: "Accept the power of Earth Dancer and save this land."

Along with their return, the local community comes alive and, more importantly, their help and donations can make a significant difference to your progress. In time, you may even be able to reconnect with the deities that once protected the land. Their blessings and strength will then bring new resources and hope to a land plagued by darkness.
JAPAN
In the spirit of Japanese culture
The visual style of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Nintendo Switch 2 draws inspiration from Japanese culture, traditions and aesthetics. The characters are designed with a love of detail and are not lacking in expressive personality. Throughout the year you will experience themed festivals, celebrations and personal events that will bring you closer to the locals. Azuma itself offers a variety of locations, from tranquil bamboo groves to snowy mountain villages, each area reflecting the seasons and cultural elements inspired by Japan. Walking through these landscapes will immerse you in the atmosphere of a place that has retained its charm and spirit despite the destruction.
ROMANCE
Strengthen relationships with residents
There is also a romantic line, which is typical for the Rune Factory series. At the beginning you choose the gender of the protagonist and then you can start building relationships with one (or some) of the Azuma inhabitants. Each potential partner has their own story, voice and character, bringing a deeper involvement in the world of the game. Friendship can turn into romance and then into a strong bond, plus your loved ones can help you in battle. This strengthens not only the story, but also your options in more challenging encounters with enemies.
