GIGABYTE B550M DS3H R2
The GIGABYTE B550M DS3H R2 motherboard, with its AMD B550 chipset and AM4 socket, supports AMD Ryzen™ 5000, 4000, and 3000 Series processors in a compact mATX format. It features a 5+3 phase digital power solution with low RDS(on) MOSFETs, four DDR4 slots supporting speeds up to 3200MHz when overclocked, and two M.2 slots, including PCIe 4.0. The board is equipped with advanced VRM cooling featuring a 5W/mK thermal pad, RGB FUSION 2.0 with support for addressable LED strips, and Smart Fan 6 technology for intelligent fan control. The rear panel provides four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and two USB 2.0 ports for connecting peripherals. The 5+3 phase digital power solution with low RDS(on) MOSFETs ensures precise power delivery to even the most demanding system components. The four-layer PCB design with premium chokes and capacitors guarantees stable operation for 3rd generation AMD Ryzen™ processors. The Solid Pin 8-pin CPU connector design with its larger contact area ensures reliable power delivery even under high processor load. Optimised gate charge minimises switching losses and contributes to lower operating temperatures.
Fast storage with PCIe 4.0 support
Two M.2 slots let you connect modern NVMe SSDs—one with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and the other with PCIe 3.0 x2/x4. Data transfer speeds reach up to 64Gb/s, and the board supports RAID configuration to increase performance or data security. The PCIe 4.0 x16 slot with PCIe UD Slot technology offers ten times the mechanical durability and better heat dissipation for graphics cards. Four SATA III 6Gb/s ports expand the connection options for traditional storage devices. AMD StoreMI technology combines the speed of an SSD with the capacity of an HDD into a single drive, shortening system boot times and automatically optimising access to frequently used files.
Sophisticated system cooling
Smart Fan 6 offers advanced control of up to three PWM/DC fans or water pumps, with support for up to 24W of current per connector, including overload protection. Each fan can be controlled independently based on seven temperature points, with a choice of linear or step curve modes. The Fan Stop feature allows the fans to stop completely below a defined temperature, ensuring quiet operation under light load. VRM Thermal Armor Advanced with a 5W/mK thermal pad efficiently dissipates heat from the power circuits, ensuring stability even during prolonged use.
