A groundbreaking milestone for the iRobot brand is the ingenious automatic emptying feature for the collection bin.
vSLAM® navigation with object recognition
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ robot vacuum cleaner features intelligent PrecisionVision navigation, which enables it to recognise obstacles like cables, shoes, socks or pet waste. The Roomba Comba avoids such an obstacle and sends you a photo of it, so you can decide whether it is a temporary obstacle or if it should be avoided in the future. The iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ detects obstacles via a front-facing camera with a wide field of view and illumination. Precise cleaning of the entire home is ensured by advanced vSLAM navigation. With its help, the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ cleans in neat rows. Thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ robot vacuum cleaner learns to recognise rooms, so you can choose selected areas, when and where the robot cleans.
iRobot Home mobile app
You can easily control the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ via your smartphone or tablet from work or on holiday, for example. Simply press the "Vacuum" button and the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ gets to work. The iRobot HOME app with iRobot OS technology also offers a whole range of other useful features and important information in English. For example, you can use voice control via Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. The app also reminds you when it's time to perform regular cleaning and general maintenance on the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ robot, or to set up no-go zones and cleaning schedules. With iRobot HOME with OS technology, the level of cleaning improves the more you use the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+.
iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ uses a three-stage AeroForce cleaning system
The three-stage AeroForce cleaning system concentrates the airflow into a narrow slot between the rotating brushes of the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ vacuum, creating a powerful vacuum effect. Combined with a new powerful motor, the suction power is increased up to 10× (compared to the iRobot Roomba 600 series).
Rotating side brush – can effectively clean areas around furniture, along walls, room corners and other hard-to-reach places.
Two counter-rotating AeroForce brushes – will take care of collecting all debris from all types of floors and carpets.
Powerful suction motor – ensures the vacuuming of fine dust. The efficient AeroForce filter ensures excellent air filtration for the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ vacuum.
Intelligent mopping with a precision spray nozzle
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ can lift the mopping cloth above the carpet and uses advanced navigation to recognise where you have hard floors and where you have carpets in your home. You can adjust the mopping to your preferences with 3 modes. An electronic pump inside the Roomba Combo j7+ robot precisely controls the flow of water and keeps the cleaning cloth evenly moist throughout the cleaning process. The Roomba Combo™ mopping system uses a microfibre pad with a special ribbed texture for cleaning. For a perfect clean, you need to use the Braava Jet cleaning solution. The robot has a 400ml water tank. The iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ has a precision spray nozzle that targets water onto the floor as soon as special sensors detect that the nozzle will not hit furniture, walls or the area under stairs.

iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ recharges during cleaning
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ robot won't leave a job unfinished. If its battery runs low during cleaning, it automatically heads to the station to recharge to the level needed to complete the task. So you don't have to wait for the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ to fully charge. After charging, the robot vacuum continues where it left off.
Roomba Combo j7+ can handle large spaces
If the Roomba Combo j7+ runs low on power, it will go to the station to recharge during cleaning and, if necessary, empty itself into the Clean Base* station. Thanks to the new Visual docking feature, the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ precisely docks into the charging station and, with its LED illumination, can do so even in the dark. The robot can remember up to 10 different maps.

The robot vacuum avoids danger
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ robot vacuum avoids unexpected obstacles, from charging cables to your pet's waste. When it first spots them, it tries to figure out how to handle them now and in the future by sending you a photo. It's up to you whether it avoids them or continues cleaning.
The robot vacuum will clean where it's needed
Set up Automation in the smart app and the Roomba Combo j7+ robot vacuum will know when you're leaving home based on information from your smartphone. The iRobot Roomba robot vacuum will only start cleaning after you've left the house. You'll then return to a clean and quiet home.
Keep Out Zones and Clean Zones feature
In the iRobot HOME app, you can mark an unlimited number of places on the map for the Roomba j7+ robot vacuum to skip during cleaning. The minimum size of such a zone must be 60×60cm. This feature is ideal for protecting your pet's food bowl, but there are many other uses. The feature fully replaces a virtual wall. You can also mark Clean Zones on the map, which the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 vacuum will then go to clean.
Seasonal and personalised cleaning suggestions
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ knows what season it is, or when your pet starts shedding or pollen season begins. Based on this, it can suggest adjustments to your cleaning routines to keep your home perfectly clean. Plus, you can create your own cleaning schedule for any day or specific hour.
Dirt Detect and reverse function
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ robot vacuum uses sensors to detect dirtier areas, which it will then focus on intensively. Another useful feature of the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ is its detection of tight spaces (Reactive Sensor Technology). The sensors inform the robot about spaces it can enter. When a narrow space is detected, the vacuum stops and starts backing out.
Clean Base charging station
The robotic assistant has a washable AeroForce collection bin, which is very easy to maintain. For maximum convenience, the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ vacuum allows automatic emptying of the collection bin into the Clean Base, which contains a disposable dirt bag with a capacity for 30 collection bins.

Repeat cleaning settings
Set the robot to repeat cleaning according to 3 settings. For example, Cleaning by room size means that the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ will go through large rooms once and medium and small rooms 2–3× (depending on their size). You can use the Daily cleaning option for routine and regular cleanings. The Roomba robot vacuum will go through each room only once. The last option is Extra cleaning. This is for exceptional situations when you need a very thorough cleaning immediately. The iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ will go through all areas twice in a single cleaning session.
