Don't come back for me

What if the only person she can rely on is the one she's supposed to hate?

Nell Gallows is the last survivor of Riøt, a secret elite unit that faced a devastating attack two years ago. Now, she's been assigned to a different special forces unit. Malum is the team that goes where no one else dares, or where no one else can. But the killers from Malum blame Riøt for the death of one of their own during a failed mission in Patagonia. Nell is certain that no one is waiting for her with open arms.

When she finds herself on a plane bound for California to meet her new colleagues, she couldn't care less. On her last night of freedom, she gets swept up in a steamy romance with a stranger. Little does she know that the mysterious Bradshaw is not only a member of Malum, but also her worst nightmare – the most feared demon on the battlefield. Bones.

During training, Nell experiences hell on earth. Bones is cruel and makes his contempt for her clear. He wants to force her to quit. And even though their missions end in repeated fiascos, Nell decides to stay by his side until the very end. It's the only thing she can do when there's no one left to trust. To go to the place where her sanity ends. Where they have only each other.
