The Toymaker

From the bestselling author of The Beast. Professor Theo Cray is unable to return to his university research due to the suspicions surrounding him after the death of his former student and the scandalous speculation after her killer was killed. So he tries to start a new life in a different area, but almost against his will, he is drawn into another unsolved case. The desperate father of a missing child, who refuses to be interviewed by the authorities and receives no support from anywhere, turns to Theo for help. The only clues are children' s drawings and an urban legend from the slums about a creature nicknamed the Toyman. For Theo to reveal, What is hidden behind the Toymaker? must put aside everything, what does science tell him, and go out into the world, in which dreams and nightmares have the same weight as reality. And the deeper he delves into the case, the more obvious it becomes that there may be a far-reaching conspiracy behind it - and it probably has other victims.
