Works fine with O2 optics, VLAN needs to be set up as per the user post below (thanks for sharing this info!, seemingly pointless in LAN->IPTV). The LEDs can be switched off, they don't switch on by themselves. I have three pieces connected in Aimesh (1 router and 2 nodes) and it works fine.

After I found out in our duplex apartment that the existing ASUS AX3000 v2 does not cover our 8+1, I decided to strengthen the Wi-Fi signal with something and I bought ASUS again and RT-AX52. I intended to connect this as an AP and at the same time set up AiMesch in the apartment with the two routers. I connected the new router via the LAN connector (it does nothing over the WAN) to the NTB and it has already led me to choose how I want to connect it: router, AP, AiMesh (router or I don't know what) etc. but that was the end of it, it didn't go anywhere and it always ended with a restart and then again over and over again. So I JUST plugged the router into the el. network near the existing one, selected the AiMesch item in the main router menu, added the devices and both up to the FIFTH! the attempt was combined in AiMesh. I didn't set anything like e.g. Wi-Fi network name, passwords, nothing at all (it asked me for the original settings via the LAN connector and I didn't want that). I connected the router in the room to the internet network with a cable (it didn't matter whether I connected it to the WAN or LAN). Then he started walking around the apartment and finding out the UNITY of the ASUS AiMesh network. Much to my disappointment, I found that the NTB originally connected to one router will not let this one through EVEN though I am standing with the NTB 2m away from the other. It takes a few minutes before the NTB decides to pick up a stronger signal.
