The touchless lid opening operates via a motion sensor located in the upper part of the Siguro Motion Open L500SU bin, which detects movement exclusively directly above the lid, not around it. The lid opens automatically when the sensor detects a hand or object approximately 15–25cm above the bin. This targeted sensing is intentionally designed to prevent the lid from opening when you simply walk past, only activating when you actually intend to throw away rubbish. For the sensor to function correctly, it is advisable not to place the bin directly under low shelves, windowsills or other obstructions above the lid.
Fully automatic, touch-free operation
When the sensor is activated, the lid of the Siguro Motion Open L500SU touchless bin opens automatically, accompanied by a blue flashing (6×) LED. The lid remains open for 5 seconds, after which it closes by itself. The entire process is fully automatic and requires no physical contact, ensuring convenient and hygienic rubbish disposal. If you need to keep the lid open for longer, simply hold your hand or an object over the sensor – after 3 seconds, the permanently open lid mode will be activated.
Cordless operation and long battery life
The Siguro Motion Open L500SU touchless bin is powered by 6× AA batteries, which are included in the package. On a single set of batteries, the bin can handle approximately 1,200 to 1,800 lid openings, offering long-lasting performance even with daily use and requiring infrequent maintenance. Changing the batteries is also very simple and can be done without any tools, making it easy to operate and saving you time.
