The Technics SL-1300GE-K turntable, with its Hi-Fi design and new ΔΣ-Drive motor technology, guarantees high rotational precision and low vibration. The turntable's new motor, three-layer platter, and highly rigid chassis ensure even higher sound quality. The state-of-the-art ΔΣ-Drive system uses Technics' expertise in PWM signal processing. In addition to reducing harmonic tones, the new drive suppresses motor vibrations, ensures smoother and more precise rotation, and delivers full musical reproduction. For the insulators supporting the body, the turntable uses a special silicone rubber that provides high vibration-damping characteristics and long-term reliability.

Coreless direct-drive motor for stable rotation
Thanks to its coreless direct-drive motor without an iron core, the turntable eliminates uneven platter rotation, so there is no fluctuation in speed. The twin-rotor design also reduces bearing load while maintaining high torque and reducing minute vibrations during rotation. In addition, the turntable motor has been redesigned to eliminate subtle vibrations that could affect sound quality. To improve durability, the same reinforcement pattern as the reference-class SL-1000R/SP-10R has been used for the coil mounting base.
Vibration-resistant construction
The turntable has a three-layer construction with a rigid aluminium-and-brass platter. The entire rear surface is covered with damping rubber to eliminate unnecessary resonance, thereby achieving high rigidity with effective vibration damping. It delivers smooth rotational stability and an inertial mass greater than the SP-10MK2, which is considered the gold standard for turntables in radio stations worldwide, and even twice the inertial mass of the SL-1200MK5.
Vibration-resistant construction
The turntable ensures high durability by using a two-layer body construction that firmly unites the BMC and the die-cast aluminium chassis. Reinforcing ribs have been added to the top panel between the motor and the tonearm. This improves durability and provides vibration-damping properties. When the weight distribution of the turntable is uneven, excessive vibration or noise occurs during rotation, causing a deterioration in sound quality. Therefore, the platter balance is adjusted at the factory using specialised high-precision adjustment equipment. Turntables that have undergone adjustment are marked with a label that reads BALANCED.
Multi-stage silent power supply
The use of a high-speed switching power supply ensures a stable power capacity and less noise and hum. Using a switching power supply for the turntable eliminates the need for a large transformer and measures against subsequent mechanical vibrations. A switching frequency higher than 100kHz limits the impact of noise on the music playback bandwidth. The current injection active noise cancelling technology combines a noise detection device with an error amplifier. It detects residual noise in the power supply and uses an inverse-phase current to remove noise components. It removes low-frequency noise more effectively than a regulator, ensuring a higher quality power supply.
Tonearm with high initial motion sensitivity
The tonearm tracks the rotation of the record. As a legacy of the Technics brand, the turntable features a lightweight and rigid aluminium tonearm with a traditional static-balance universal S-shape. Thanks to its gimbal suspension, high-precision bearing, and manual assembly by experienced experts, it achieves high initial motion sensitivity. This meticulous design ensures precise tracking of the record grooves. In addition, it includes an auxiliary weight that provides flexibility for a wide range of phono cartridges.
