The Ubiquiti LTU-Rocket WiFi Access Point is a powerful radio that serves as a PtMP BaseStation for outdoor installations in demanding conditions, with a throughput of over 900Mb/s. An integrated Bluetooth interface enables quick commissioning, making it easy to configure in the field using the UISP mobile app. Administrators can also use the classic web UI in a browser. Network services such as SNMP, SSH, dynamic DNS, and a ping watchdog are available. The metal chassis, measuring 244×82×48mm and weighing 468g, withstands the elements and operates reliably in temperatures from -40°C to 55°C. External antennas can be connected to the device using integrated moisture-proof connectors. The physical interface, which provides a connection to the network using metallic cables, consists of two 1Gbit Ethernet ports. Power is supplied via passive PoE.

Wireless technology
The device uses the 4800MHz to 6200MHz frequency band with 2×2 MIMO technology, processing over 2 million packets per second. You can set the channel width to 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, or 100MHz. Integrated GPS synchronisation with an external magnetic antenna helps prevent mutual interference between adjacent transmitters on a shared mast. The system also offers features like airView, a speed test, and cable route determination.
Capacity and range in PtMP networks
In Point-to-Multipoint base station mode, this radio serves over 100 connected client stations simultaneously. The wireless signal travels distances exceeding 100km under optimal outdoor conditions. The uplink and downlink ratio can be configured to a fixed setting. The system supports transmission power and distance regulation to optimise operation.
