Uncatchable blade 90

On 23 September 2026, Miloň Čepelka will celebrate his ninetieth birthday.

The publishing house ČAS and Radek Žitný have prepared a retrospective publication for him – and also for the large community of those who love him. It maps the life and artistic career of this exceptional personality, who is inconspicuous in the best sense of the word, perhaps only thanks to his proverbial modesty. Behind his shy smile is a man who can command the stage as well as the radio waves, who is at home in the realm of music, theatre, radio, television, and film, and from whose pen come poetic, prosaic, and dramatic gems.

This book presents Miloň Čepelka as far more than just a Cimrmanologist, which is his most famous role. Before you stands an outstanding lyricist, prose writer, poet, screenwriter, and playwright, a lifelong theatre and occasional film actor, a presenter, a publicist – and even an excellent singer, though he himself denies it.

It won't just be the man of the hour speaking to you, but also family members and a whole host of colleagues and friends. Everything is complemented by a selection of photographs, and we believe that we have created a beautiful and dignified gift not only for the birthday boy but, above all, for his admirers.
