100 years of buses in Prague and the history of bus dispatching
Over a century of development, Prague's urban bus transport has transformed from peripheral routes running from the end of tram lines into a fully-fledged transport system that, since the late 1960s, has required its own dedicated control centre. This book draws on a range of archival sources to offer a look behind the scenes at the control centre's operations, an essential part of the daily running of the bus routes. You will find the history of the bus control centre, detailed data, and authentic recollections from key figures in a publication complemented by a richly illustrated timeline presenting the history of Prague's bus services.
