The EIZO EV3895 is EIZO's first ultra-wide curved model with a 24:10 aspect ratio. Its design places it in the group of so-called “docking” thin-bezel monitors equipped with a LAN connector for connecting to a fixed company network. At the same time, it is part of the energy-efficient EIZO EcoView series, featuring a distinctive thin-bezel design and a modern USB-C interface, which can power laptops with a consumption of up to 85W. Thanks to the latest imaging technologies, the EV3895 monitor can save up to 40% of electricity during normal operation. The typical consumption is just 28W, which is about half the consumption of competing monitors in the same class (38” USB-C).

The EIZO monitor screen has low heat emission
The EIZO FlexScan EV3895-BK LCD monitor is equipped with a low-energy IPS-LCD panel with a semi-matte surface finish and a resolution of 3840 × 1600 (24:10). The monitor's backlighting system consists of high-efficiency white LED elements with low heat emission. This so-called cool screen significantly contributes to lower eye fatigue and, at the same time, a longer lifespan for the EIZO FlexScan EV3895-BK LCD monitor.
Eye protection thanks to intelligent brightness control
The EIZO FlexScan EV3895-BK monitor uses HiPWM technology for brightness control, which manages the light flux of the backlighting system's LED elements using pulse-width modulation operating at a high frequency in the tens of kHz range. That is precisely why flickering cannot occur if the user reduces the screen brightness of the EIZO FlexScan EV3895-BK monitor. The image thus appears perfectly smooth, calm, and clean – similar to the reproduction of an image obtained by light reflecting off paper. In the evening, the user can also select “PAPER” mode to significantly reduce (by up to 80%) the blue spectrum emitted by the EIZO monitor's backlighting system by adjusting the monitor's white point below 5000K. At the same time, the contrast of the EIZO FlexScan EV3895-BK monitor is automatically adjusted to better match the contrast ratios of light reflected from paper, which is very pleasant for the eyes.
Automatically adjusts brightness
A precisely tuned automatic LED backlight control system not only results in a significant reduction in electricity consumption but also allows for a completely stable and flicker-free image across the entire brightness range. The brightness of the EIZO FlexScan EV3895-BK monitor can be adjusted from as low as 1 cd/m² up to 300 cd/m² (1% - 100% of max brightness), which is ideal especially for environments with limited daylight and for night-time use of the monitor. For automatic brightness level adjustment, the EIZO FlexScan EV3895-BK monitor uses a unique optimised control with a non-linear characteristic, which, compared to the simple and commonly used linear control, can better react to changes in light to better correspond to the human eye's perception of brightness from the monitor.
Colour gamut according to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and DCI-P3 standards
The colour gamut of the EIZO FlexScan EV3895-BK monitor is close to the DCI-P3 standard (94% coverage) and fully covers the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 photographic standard (“sRGB” image mode), so the monitor can correctly display colour photographs with the sRGB colour gamut right out of the box, without needing to be calibrated in any way or having to create a precise colour profile for it. Displaying images with the sRGB gamut is correct even in browsers without Colour Management support (without CMS), for example, in internet browsers or other applications that were not originally intended for colour photograph reproduction. For even more accurate colour reproduction of photographs according to the sRGB standard, there is an sRGB button that also automatically (according to the sRGB standard) sets the corresponding white point temperature and selects the correct gradation curve (the rate of increase of the black point).
The monitor allows easy connection “to anything” thanks to USB-Type C
For seamless connection to modern computers, there are 10-bit USB-C, DP (DisplayPort), and 2× HDMI inputs, which can process not only encoded RGB but also YCbCr data from external devices. Users who would like to occasionally use this monitor with a satellite or terrestrial TV receiver will be pleasantly surprised by the support for moving video formats: YCbCr 1080p/50Hz, 1080p/60Hz (4:4:4 or 4:2:2) on the HDMI input.
